Patient Access Senior Director (Healthcare Operations)

Location: Onsite at Baystate Health in Springfield, Massachusetts; current U.S. work authorization required.

Salary: $160,000–$224,000 per year, plus eligibility for annual incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end Patient Access operations, including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, authorizations, financial counseling, and point-of-service collections.
• Guide subordinate supervisors and managers while overseeing staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and team development.
• Develop policies, procedures, goals, budgets, and operational recommendations for the health and hospital system.
• Analyze revenue cycle data and key performance indicators to identify risks, barriers, service needs, and improvement opportunities.
• Drive workflow optimization, standardization, organizational change, and continuous improvement across multiple access points.
• Collaborate with Baystate leadership and hirify.global Managed Services stakeholders to resolve business challenges and deliver measurable performance improvements.

Requirements

• Current U.S. work authorization is required.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6–8+ years of healthcare operations experience.
• Patient Access experience with 2–3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Direct supervisory experience and the ability to lead, train, mentor, and manage staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with strong analytical, communication, planning, and critical-thinking skills.
