Manufacturing Engineer (Gas Turbine Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead and support manufacturing and repair process development and improvement projects for gas turbine combustion components.
• Collaborate with design and service engineering on new product introduction, process development, industrialization, and design for manufacturing.
• Develop product-specific manufacturing and repair processes using engineering methodologies and sound judgment.
• Document and communicate processes through technical instructions, manufacturing instructions, and project briefings.
• Provide technical guidance and training to operators, technicians, and manufacturing engineers on fixtures, tooling, and equipment.
• Work on the shop floor with operators to establish robust manufacturing and repair processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; new graduates may apply.
• 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a fabrication and machine shop environment.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis, CAPA, continuous improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma.
• Working knowledge of SAP or an equivalent MRP system and Siemens NX or a similar CAD platform.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience with fixture design, sheet metal forming, fabrication, and welding processes for nickel-based materials.
• Relevant professional experience may qualify applicants for a higher level.
