Senior Industrial Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; hands-on presence on the manufacturing floor required

Salary: $91,000–$114,000 per year, depending on skills and experience

What you will do

• Lead Lean manufacturing and safety initiatives to eliminate waste, improve process flow, and establish visual factory metrics.
• Implement and standardize OEE systems, investigate equipment losses, and optimize PECVD liner changes, changeovers, and uptime.
• Optimize SAP master data, schedule adherence, lead times, RCCP models, rework, yield, WIP visibility, and labor reporting.
• Improve material usage, inventory levels, queue times, throughput, space utilization, and storage efficiency.
• Lead the transition from paper-based processes to electronic systems and support MES strategy and implementation.
• Support new product manufacturing readiness, develop Best Known Methods, and lead cross-functional improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience in high-volume, technically complex, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with analytical problem-solving, statistical analysis, structured troubleshooting, documentation, and technical writing.
• Strong communication, project management, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and actively address issues on the production floor.

Nice to have

• Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving tools.
• Experience with complex investigations, process control systems, process stability, and capability improvement.
