Manufacturing Engineer II

What you will do

• Investigate and implement equipment and technologies that improve manufacturing safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Work with vendors to specify equipment and build business cases for capital purchases.
• Design 3D-modeled fixtures to address ergonomic issues, improve takt times, and enhance product quality.
• Participate in product design reviews, contributing to DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, and assembly considerations.
• Launch new products and product lines from prototype through operations by developing fixturing, cell layouts, equipment, documentation, and training.
• Support operations, automated processes, testing methods, work instructions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Computer proficiency and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience with root cause analysis techniques.
• Experience with 3D CAD.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma, Red X, or another problem-solving certification or relevant experience.
• Experience implementing lean manufacturing.
• 2D CAD experience for layouts.
• Experience with injection molding processes.
