AMHS Technician Equipment Engineering (Day Shift)

Location: Malta, New York, United States; onsite at the Fab 8 semiconductor manufacturing facility

Salary: $43,100–$70,600 per year

What you will do

• Monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes in the assigned AMHS area.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Monitor, control, and test equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and computer-related equipment issues.
• Recover equipment from process interruptions, document events, and communicate shift handoffs.
• Collaborate with production team members, area engineers, and lead technicians while supporting safety and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical or mechanical background through a two-year technical degree, two years of relevant military experience, or four years of relevant experience.
• English fluency required for written and verbal communication.
• Basic reading, writing, computer navigation, Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook skills.
• Ability to work onsite in a cleanroom environment, wear required protective equipment, and remain standing and physically active during 12-hour shifts.
• Flexibility to work alternating day or night shifts, including three to four days per week.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in engineering technology, military service, or a trade.
• Four or more years of direct semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Experience reading schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with statistical process control, structured troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Project management, planning, organizational, and communication skills.
