Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Remote - US; ideally based in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, or another Northeast US location. Customer-site work, domestic and international travel, flexible schedules, night shifts, weekends, and on-call assignments may be required.

Base salary: $36.79–$49.78 USD per hour, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Install, modify, test, upgrade, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Diagnose complex equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
• Interface with customers, present service updates, and participate in operational and status meetings.
• Prepare service reports, project plans, training plans, certification matrices, and other technical documentation.
• Train Brooks and customer personnel and mentor less experienced Service Engineers.
• Lead continuous-improvement initiatives and support customer sites, regions, or products as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a technical discipline, technical certificate, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience providing electromechanical or electronics technical support and repair services.
• Experience with lasers, sensing devices, robotic positioning circuitry, microelectronics schematics, and digital circuits.
• Proficiency with PCs, Windows, and DOS-based operating systems.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, ability to obtain a passport, and eligibility to work in the United States are required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and scaffolding, work in confined or awkward spaces, use personal protective equipment, and work in a cleanroom when required.
