Accounting Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Own and continuously improve the monthly and quarterly close process, driving toward a shorter close calendar.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Manage cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard costing for manufacturing operations.
• Research and document technical accounting positions, including ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 470, and ASC 718.
• Partner with external auditors and support the development of internal controls.
• Implement process improvements and automation opportunities while supporting ad hoc analyses and company-wide decisions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge, particularly revenue recognition, leases, and cost accounting.
• Experience owning full-cycle close and financial reporting.
• Experience with financial systems such as Office, NetSuite, Ramp, or FloQast.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills and the ability to translate accounting topics for the business.

Nice to have

• Active or in-progress CPA certification.
• Experience with government contractors and FAR/DFARS, CAS, or DCAA requirements.
• Big Four or mid-tier audit background.
