SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Remote; U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status is required due to access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.

Annual base salary: $160,000–$180,000 per year, plus potential bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Prepare and coordinate quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K.
• Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, disclosures, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules under U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
• Coordinate external audit requests, deliverables, supporting documentation, and the audit PBC process.
• Research complex accounting matters and new accounting standards, assess implementation impacts, and draft technical accounting memos.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Legal, HR, the Controller, and accounting stakeholders on business transactions and reporting matters.
• Improve accounting, reporting, close processes, scalable controls, and SOX documentation, testing, and remediation.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including public accounting, Big Four or national firm experience, and/or SEC reporting at a public company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related discipline.
• Strong technical, written, verbal, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving public company environment and manage deadlines with accuracy.
• Must hold U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• NetSuite ERP experience.
• Technical accounting experience at a growth-stage or startup company.
• Experience with DoD or other U.S. government development and deployment programs.
