Corporate Controller (EV Manufacturing)

Location: Garden Grove, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $230,000–$280,000 USD annually

hirify.global is an American commercial electric vehicle company developing an EV platform for medium-duty electric and hybrid vehicles.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end month-end and quarter-end close, financial reporting, chart of accounts, and P&L structure.
• Design, implement, and enforce financial reporting controls while maintaining accurate US GAAP-compliant records.
• Assess accounting systems and processes, develop a scalability roadmap, and drive automation across close and reporting workflows using NetSuite and spend management tools.
• Oversee income tax, sales and use tax, statutory compliance, external audits, internal controls testing, and SOX readiness.
• Manage inventory, standard costs, COGS, capitalization, revenue recognition, technical accounting, and equity compensation accounting as production scales.
• Partner with FP&A, lead and develop the accounting team, and advise on accounting and tax implications of new products and international expansion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting experience at a Big Four or national firm and industry experience.
• Experience owning a month-end close process at scale and designing and implementing financial reporting controls.
• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP.
• People management experience.

• Startup or high-growth company experience.
• Manufacturing, automotive, hardware, or EV industry experience.
• Experience with capital equipment, facility buildouts, standard costing, inventory-heavy environments, or equity compensation programs.
• Exposure to public company reporting, IPO readiness, ERP implementations, or modern spend management systems such as Ramp, Airbase, or Coupa.
• Experience supporting expansion into new products or geographies.
