Multi-Skilled Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Maintain, repair, and improve production equipment and machinery across mixing, converting, coating, and ancillary operations.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, complete repairs, and reduce engineering downtime and recurrence.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop more robust preventative maintenance schedules through the PPM program.
• Support the introduction of new equipment, machinery, and working methods.
• Deliver minor engineering projects to improve machine reliability, flexibility, and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Monitor machine and facility performance while maintaining statutory, health, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Approved formal apprenticeship in a relevant engineering skill area and practical industrial experience.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance, including mechanical fitting, welding, turning, milling, and bearing changes.
• Experience working in a production or factory environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety, risk assessment, safe equipment operation, technical diagrams, measurements, and method statements.
• Methodical, organised, flexible, and persistent approach with the ability to work under pressure and resolve problems through to completion.
• Ability to communicate technical information and work effectively with colleagues, shift managers, planners, and operators.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of mixing, coating, and converting machinery.
• Experience with SAP PM software.
• Understanding of maintenance roadmaps for improving operational effectiveness.
