Multi-Skilled Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Kitt Green, United Kingdom; rotating day shifts and onsite factory work.

Food manufacturing organization operating a factory with production and engineering teams.

What you will do

• Carry out planned, preventative, condition-based, and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, control system, and automation equipment.
• Diagnose faults, repair equipment, respond to line breakdowns, and restore assets to service quickly.
• Identify failure modes and trends, complete root cause analysis, and deliver corrective actions.
• Drive proactive fault prevention, continuous improvement, asset care, reliability, and OEE activities.
• Record maintenance work in SAP and complete PPM, reactive task, shift handover, and asset care documentation.
• Support site projects, change initiatives, contractors, permits to work, risk assessments, and engineering improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Recognised or certificated engineering apprenticeship and ONC, HNC, or NVQ Level 3.
• Mechanical or electrical engineering bias with experience diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment.
• 18th Edition qualification and Electrical or Mechanical Duty Holder responsibilities.
• Ability to work rotating day shifts, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, and deliver clear shift handovers.
• Strong proactive approach, resilience, communication skills, and commitment to health and safety.

Nice to have

• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
• Experience delivering on-the-job training and creating SMP/SOP documentation.
