Engineering Technician (Fuel Systems)

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States; onsite

Salary: $62,800–$90,500 annually, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Support fuel system testing for new and current marine products.
• Prepare, instrument, and install fuel system components on test benches, tanks, and engine dynamometers.
• Set up data acquisition systems and verify the quality of recorded test data.
• Lead engine installation, instrumentation, and special fuel system hardware installation across engine platforms.
• Design and conduct engine-level fuel system tests, troubleshoot components, and document results.
• Fabricate and maintain electrical, mechanical, and plumbing test fixtures while keeping the laboratory organized.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Exceptional attention to detail in documentation and data recording.
• Proficiency with precision tools, measurement equipment, pressure sensor calibration, and data acquisition software.
• Proficiency in sealed fluid system assembly and disassembly and internal combustion engine assembly, disassembly, troubleshooting, and operation theory.
• Ability to independently set up and conduct dynamometer testing, including prior engine dynamometer corner-condition, performance, or emissions testing experience.
• Basic machining, welding, and fabrication experience; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree in engineering or a technical field.
• Familiarity with AVL Puma software.
