Gas Engine System Engineer (Embedded Systems)

Location: Mossville, Illinois, United States; onsite five days a week. Relocation is available.

Salary: $97,530–$146,290 per year.

What you will do

• Design, analyze, and validate gas engine subsystem functionality across software, controls, sensors, actuators, and hardware interfaces.
• Execute feature development, calibrations, tests, investigations, and assigned technical deliverables.
• Support system integration by diagnosing issues in test cells, simulations, and field environments and proposing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with software developers, controls engineers, hardware teams, validation, and applications groups.
• Document designs, test results, and engineering decisions for releases, audits, and product lifecycle activities.
• Contribute to trade studies, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in an accredited engineering, computer science, or materials science curriculum.
• Working knowledge of analytical thinking, systematic problem solving, root-cause analysis, and technical troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of embedded systems, microprocessors, microcontrollers, embedded programming languages, and system upgrades.
• Basic understanding of functional and non-functional requirements analysis and requirements documentation.
