Engineer II, Fuel Cell System Modeling and Experimentation (Fuel Cell Systems)

What you will do

• Build CFD models to analyze fluid flow, heat rejection, and fuel cell system efficiency.
• Compare simulation and test data, identify discrepancies, and resolve their root causes.
• Plan and execute DVP&R test protocols for performance, durability, certification, environmental, and safety requirements.
• Characterize components and systems, conduct DOE and accelerated stress testing, and identify failure modes.
• Perform root cause analysis using 8D methodologies and statistical techniques.
• Improve test systems, data analysis workflows, and laboratory automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, preferably engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience with fuel cells, flow batteries, engines, or similar technologies.
• Practical understanding of flow dynamics and heat transfer.
• Hands-on experience with CFD using commercial tools and with laboratory test equipment, instrumentation, tools, and software.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Python, MATLAB, or VBA.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, SAE and ISO standards, and managing multiple projects with timely, high-quality deliverables.
