Sr Preconstruction Manager

Location: Based out of the Austin, Texas office, with travel to project work sites in the Gulf States Region.

Estimated pay: $78,000–$213,000 per year.

What you will do

• Prepare conceptual cost models, budgets, milestone estimates, and GMP packages.
• Analyze construction documents and project program requirements for scope, cost, and contract compliance.
• Coordinate project logistics, staffing, procurement, and resource planning.
• Advise project participants and clients on constructability, scheduling, quality, phasing, staffing, building systems, and subject matter expertise.
• Build collaborative working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
• Manage subcontractor relationships and facilitate proposals, bids, and presentations.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or a related field, including projects valued above $5 million or equivalent education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with K–12 or higher education and healthcare projects required.
• Knowledge of building systems, codes, permitting, and municipal processes.
• Ability to travel to project work sites and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong financial, operational, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

• MBA, LEED, DBIA, PE license, or another advanced degree or credential.
