TL;DR
Sr. Construction Services Engineer (Construction Management): Managing construction phases, field activities, documentation, budgets, schedules, and operational processes for infrastructure projects with an accent on construction administration, quality, safety, and client coordination. Focus on coordinating multiple project sites, supervising construction personnel, developing business opportunities, and solving complex construction-condition and compliance challenges.

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; travel to various project locations and long-distance travel to project sites may be required. Employees cannot reside in AK, AR, CA, CT, DE, HI, KY, MA, RI, VT, or PR.

Base compensation: $94,000–$130,000 annually, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

  • Coordinate and complete construction phases for projects with limited input from senior leaders and project managers.
  • Manage field activities, project documentation, construction administration, material testing, survey coordination, and on-site representation.
  • Coordinate work tasks across multiple projects and territories while maintaining budgets, schedules, quality, and safety standards.
  • Supervise, mentor, recruit, and support the development of construction personnel.
  • Develop client relationships, identify business development opportunities, and contribute to proposals and market expansion.
  • Implement operational processes, safety practices, controls, and reporting procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado required.
  • Ability to interpret plans, specifications, contracts, technical procedures, professional journals, and governmental regulations.
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects through prioritization and workload scheduling.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software, spreadsheets, and project scheduling software; ability to learn AASHTOWare, One Office, Bluebeam, and PMWeb Construction.

Nice to have

  • 10+ years of construction industry experience, including construction techniques, estimating, scheduling, construction administration, and observation services.
  • Ability to travel long distances daily to reach project sites.
