Preconstruction Manager (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Manage and supervise preconstruction staff and support teams.
• Prepare cost models, progress estimates, variance reports, and monthly cost analyses.
• Develop detailed schedules for design, approvals, estimating, purchasing, and construction.
• Lead preconstruction strategy, risk review, bidder qualification, and scope definition.
• Review documents for constructability and value analysis while maintaining subcontractor, vendor, and client relationships.
• Coordinate proposals, client presentations, and the transition from preconstruction to project operations.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of field construction experience, including supervisory experience.
• Leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Drafting and computer skills, with knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Thorough understanding of scheduling, estimating, cost control, procurement, and business development systems.
• Full-time onsite work in San Diego, California.
