TL;DR
Facilities Technician II (HVAC and Building Systems): Maintaining and repairing property buildings, apartments, life-safety systems, and equipment at an assigned student-living property with an accent on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and safety compliance. Focus on responding to service requests, coordinating vendors, preparing apartment turnovers, and handling on-call emergencies.

Location: Northpoint Crossing, College Station, Texas, United States; work is performed at the assigned property. Periodic travel and on-call availability, including after-hours and weekend emergencies, may be required.

What you will do

  • Respond to maintenance and repair service requests and complete them promptly and professionally.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, system monitoring, and testing for major building and life-safety systems.
  • Maintain apartments, buildings, property features, and equipment in accordance with operating procedures, OSHA requirements, and industry standards.
  • Prepare apartments for turnovers and maintain key management and property security protocols.
  • Coordinate vendor deliveries, work schedules, escorts, and daily maintenance assignments with the Facilities Manager or Supervisor.
  • Support emergency and disaster preparedness planning and request required supplies in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High school/GED or trade school diploma, plus 3–5 years of full-time general maintenance experience or equivalent experience.
  • HVAC certification and EPA 608 certification covering Core, Type I, II, and III.
  • Certified Pool Operator certification, or willingness to obtain it within six months.
  • Knowledge of key management, security, safety, and life-safety systems; valid driver’s license required.
  • Basic computer skills or ability to learn Entrata, CMMS, Building Automation, and Digital Control Systems.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. Ability to stand for 8 hours or longer, lift up to 100 lbs., work under pressure, and travel when required.
