Assistant Facilities Manager

Location: Rancho Cordova, California, United States; on-site facilities and construction environments

Salary: $78,400–$122,500 per year, plus eligibility for RSU, RCU, and cash bonus programs.

What you will do

• Support daily operations across office, laboratory, data center, and critical environment facilities.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems.
• Monitor temperature, humidity, differential pressure, airflow, and other laboratory and precision-environment conditions.
• Maintain CMMS records, respond to service requests, investigate alarms and incidents, and support emergency response and business continuity activities.
• Manage service providers, monitor SLAs, review invoices, solicit bids, and support budget and procurement activities.
• Support tenant improvement, renovation, and capital projects by tracking schedules, budgets, risks, deliverables, and closeout documentation.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in facilities, building operations, or maintenance management.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems.
• Experience with CMMS platforms such as ServiceNow, Maximo, MaintainX, or similar systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and applicable building codes.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work throughout campus facilities, laboratories, data centers, construction sites, and light industrial environments, including occasional after-hours, weekend, or emergency support.

Nice to have

• Experience with laboratories, semiconductor facilities, data centers, manufacturing environments, or other critical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with UPS systems, precision cooling, generators, and backup power infrastructure.
• Facility renovation or capital project management experience.
• IFMA FMP, CFM, or similar certification.
