National Transplant Accounts Director (Biotech)

Location: Remote and home-based anywhere in the Continental US; 60% national travel required

Salary: $158,000–$210,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and manage relationships with transplant administrators, payer stakeholders, transplant benefit networks, and Organ Procurement Organizations.
• Develop, pitch, and implement business opportunities and strategic plans that expand access to lung bioengineering services and products.
• Negotiate transplant center and Organ Procurement Organization contracts, coordinating with health systems, finance, legal, and compliance teams.
• Provide expertise on reimbursement, coverage, payer policies, and access pathways while educating transplant centers, administrators, providers, and payers.
• Maintain customer and contract-related data in CRM and SAP systems and support invoicing and operational processes.
• Report on transplant trends, market dynamics, utilization, financial metrics, and account developments to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10+ years of relevant organ operations or healthcare services experience, or a master’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of transplant administration experience, including managed care, marketing, and business case development; lower experience thresholds apply with a master’s degree.
• Expertise in transplant reimbursement dynamics, Medicare cost reporting, payer contracting, access, and reimbursement processes.
• Understanding of Organ Procurement Organization organ acquisition charges and reimbursement processes.
• Executive-level business presentation experience and the ability to communicate clinical and technical information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to collaborate across departments, prioritize work, and maintain payer relationships.

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience navigating the national payer landscape.
• Current relationships with relevant managed care organizations.
