Oracle DBA – Exadata Specialist

What you will do

• Administer and maintain Oracle 19c and 21c databases running on Oracle Exadata.
• Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN environments to support high availability and recoverability.
• Monitor and optimize database and Exadata performance using AWR, ASH, ADDM, execution plan analysis, and platform-specific capabilities.
• Diagnose incidents across databases, storage cells, networking, and cluster environments, and perform root cause analysis with engineering and application teams.
• Perform Exadata storage management, patching, lifecycle upgrades, and operational automation.
• Contribute to platform standards, technical documentation, security, compliance, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience in enterprise environments and 3+ years of hands-on Oracle Exadata experience supporting production workloads.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, Linux administration, SQL performance tuning, and execution plan analysis.
• Experience with AWR, ASH, ADDM, Exadata storage management, CELLCLI, flash cache tuning, and IORM resource management.
• Knowledge of Exadata networking technologies, including InfiniBand or RoCE, plus experience planning and implementing patching and upgrades.
• Hands-on automation experience with Bash, Python, Ansible, or similar tools, along with strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle Exadata Cloud Service or Exadata Cloud@Customer.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar monitoring tools.
• Experience with high-throughput, low-latency, or large-scale enterprise database environments.
• Oracle Database Administration or Exadata certifications and a bachelor's degree or higher in an IT-related field.
