Senior Mainframe Support Engineer (CICS)

Location: Hybrid from Bucharest, Romania

What you will do

• Deliver operational services for outsourcing accounts while minimizing unplanned downtime in customer production environments.
• Collaborate with technology leads, account support teams, and other support functions.
• Manage incidents and service issues according to ITIL standards, including deep-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Plan and implement technical changes, participate in advisory boards, and maintain the Configuration Management Database.
• Maintain technical documentation, ensure process compliance, and contribute to quality and productivity projects.
• Provide technical consultations, training, workshops, and support for technical projects related to the mainframe platform.

Requirements

• Primary expertise in CICS.
• At least 5 years of hands-on mainframe experience.
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Excellent understanding of ITSM and ITIL processes.
• Fluent English is required.
• Preferably 10 or more years of experience in IT operations or infrastructure services support.
