Supervisor, Quality Control

Location: West Palm Beach, Florida, United States; on-site at the plant with 25–50% travel to designated QC laboratories

What you will do

• Oversee quality control laboratories in a designated region and ensure compliance with LATICRETE quality criteria.
• Maintain Good Laboratory Practices, implement 6S organization methods, and improve laboratory layouts, workflows, testing frequency, and training effectiveness.
• Update QC work instructions and procedures and support calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Perform QC testing at the home-based laboratory and provide on-site support at other locations as required.
• Analyze manufacturing and raw-material specifications and troubleshoot product-quality problems with QC, process chemistry, and engineering teams.
• Lead employee training, coaching, feedback, and performance development across QC teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working in a laboratory environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a technical field, or equivalent QC and laboratory certifications and experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of chemistry, with experience in cementitious chemistry, epoxy liquids, latex, or related product lines preferred.
• Experience with data analysis, work-plan formulation, written reports, documentation, and organizational processes.
• Advanced computer skills, including Access, Excel, Word, and ERP software.
• Ability to travel 25–50%, work on-site, pass a pre-employment physical, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of supervisory or QC laboratory leadership experience.
• Experience with color matching and colorimeters.
• Participation in Quality Control and Environmental Safety Organizations.
