Seal Repair/Maintenance Technician-Rotating Equipment

What you will do

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and assemble mechanical seals and rotating equipment components.
• Complete inspection forms, photograph critical components, and document wear and component condition.
• Evaluate returned materials, determine repairability and required operations, and verify drawings, bills of materials, and specifications.
• Perform shop operations using drill presses, tool post grinders, bead blast polishers, and lapping machines.
• Maintain repair records and seal-parts inventory, and initiate purchase orders when vendors are required.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Sales, branches, vendors, and customers regarding repair requirements and pricing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in mechanical assembly positions.
• Ability to use measuring instruments including micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, and optical flats.
• Ability to work from factory work orders, technical drawings, rework orders, repair packets, and verbal instructions.
• Ability to inspect, clean, measure, and document mechanical components according to departmental procedures.
