Seal Repair Technician

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA; full-time onsite

What you will do

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and assemble mechanical seals and rotating equipment components.
• Document component wear and condition using inspection forms, photographs, and inspection equipment.
• Evaluate returned parts and materials to determine whether they are repairable and identify required repair operations.
• Verify drawings, bill of materials, repair parts, specifications, and current revision requirements.
• Perform basic shop operations using a single-spindle drill press, tool-post grinder, bead-blast polisher, and lapping machine.
• Initiate work and purchase orders and support repair pricing and assembly preparation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of mechanical seal equipment experience or comparable experience maintaining equipment in refining, petrochemical, chemical, power, or upstream markets.
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and technical diagrams.
• Ability to complete basic arithmetic with two-digit numbers and tens and hundreds.
• Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to work onsite in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.

Nice to have

• Some college or trade school education.
