Seal Repair/Maintenance Technician - Rotating Equipment

Location: Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA; full-time, onsite position.

What you will do

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and assemble mechanical seals and rotating equipment components.
• Document component wear and condition through inspection forms, photographs, and inspection equipment.
• Evaluate returned parts and materials to determine whether they are repairable and identify required repair operations.
• Verify drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and repair parts before assembly and repair release.
• Perform simple shop operations using a drill press, tool post grinder, bead blast polisher, and lapping machine.
• Assist with parts structuring, repair cost checks, pricing, and initiating work and purchase orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or trade school is preferred.
• At least two years of mechanical seal equipment experience or comparable experience maintaining equipment in refining, petrochemical, chemical, power, or upstream markets.
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions, correspondence, memos, and diagrams.
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group settings.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with two-digit numbers and multiples of tens and hundreds.
• Ability to resolve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
