Manufacturing Technician - Assembly (Oil & Gas)

Location: Morton Grove, Illinois, USA; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Assemble dry gas seals safely into test cells using hand and power tools.
• Clean seal components and update incoming seal records.
• Maintain test-cell component data, storage locations, and required documentation.
• Test assemblies and troubleshoot seal-related issues.
• Complete weekly 5S audits, participate in continuous improvement activities, and attend daily SPQCD meetings.
• Train other technicians when required and maintain productivity standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in the oil and gas or rotating equipment industry.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Strong skills in fine measurements and general assembly work.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of continuous improvement principles and associated tools.

Nice to have

• Assembly or testing experience with gas seals.
