What you will do

  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and assemble rotating equipment seals.
  • Document component wear and condition through inspection forms, photographs, and inspection equipment.
  • Evaluate customer- and branch-returned materials for repairability using product knowledge and current drawing revisions.
  • Determine repair operations and verify that BOMs, drawings, and repair parts match.
  • Perform simple shop operations using a single-spindle drill press, tool post grinder, bead blast polisher, and lapping machine.
  • Initiate work and purchase orders and support repair pricing and assembly preparation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of mechanical seal equipment experience or comparable experience in refining, petrochemical, chemical, power, or upstream markets.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.
  • Basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations.

Nice to have

  • Some college or trade school education.
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude.
