Seal Repair/Maintenance Technician/Assembler-Rotating Equipment

What you will do

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and assemble mechanical seals and rotating equipment components.
• Document component wear and condition using inspection forms, photographs, and inspection equipment.
• Evaluate returned customer and branch-office materials to determine whether they are repairable.
• Determine repair operations and verify that BOMs, drawings, specifications, and repair parts match.
• Perform simple shop operations using a single-spindle drill press, tool-post grinder, bead-blast polisher, and lapping machine.
• Support parts structuring, repair cost checks, pricing, and initiation of work and purchase orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of mechanical seal equipment experience or comparable experience maintaining equipment in refining, petrochemical, chemical, power, or upstream markets.
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions and handle standardized problems involving several concrete variables.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with two-digit numbers and tens and hundreds.
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations.
