Project Manager - Hazardous Building Materials

Location: Chicago, Illinois office; projects throughout Chicagoland and potentially adjacent states

Salary: USD $65,000–$84,427.20 per year, plus potential participation in an annual discretionary bonus program.

What you will do

• Identify new business opportunities and deliver building sciences and industrial hygiene services.
• Inspect properties for asbestos, mold, lead-based paint, and PCBs.
• Oversee asbestos abatement projects for public, private, and city/state clients.
• Investigate water intrusion and water leaks, and coordinate project activities with contractors.
• Collect air samples and develop personal and area industrial hygiene sampling plans and reports.
• Prepare chain-of-custody documentation, daily logs, specifications reviews, drawings reviews, and project reports while working with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in hazardous building materials and/or industrial hygiene consulting.
• Prior experience with various aspects of abatement projects.
• Ability to read project specifications and drawings.
• Required certification as a Certified Asbestos Inspector, Asbestos Project Manager, and/or Asbestos Project Monitor.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check.
