Application Software Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States; the position is performed from the colleague’s home, with occasional in-person team meetings possible.

Salary: $86,499–$138,399 per year.

What you will do

• Develop, code, test, debug, document, implement, and maintain application software.
• Provide application development services or technical support within defined projects.
• Analyze and modify program logic and integrate application components.
• Participate in project planning and analysis, translating business requirements into product designs.
• Write technical specifications and recommend technical alternatives or improvements to systems and processes.
• Collaborate with business analysts, technical product managers, and internal business partners to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
• 0–2 years of application development experience.
• Basic proficiency in one or more programming languages and a general understanding of at least one software development life cycle model.
• Knowledge of end-to-end development life cycles, including waterfall, iterative, and agile approaches.
• Business modeling, requirements definition, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States and set up computer equipment in a home office.
