Software Development Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid in Chantilly, Virginia, with work at the Sponsor facility a minimum of three days per week and two days remotely. The position is associated with Herndon, Virginia. Applicants must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and meet U.S. person requirements under ITAR/EAR.

Salary: $83,500.00–$208,750.00 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and evolve applications using sound software engineering principles.
• Develop and deploy solutions with AWS tools and services.
• Implement software in a small Agile team with dynamically evolving requirements.
• Improve application efficiency, operating time, reliability, understandability, and fault tolerance.
• Support software documentation, design, process management, and continuous improvement.
• Analyze, design, and implement solutions autonomously while leading small tasks with other technical resources.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
• U.S. person status required for ITAR/EAR compliance; some positions may require current U.S. citizenship.
• At least four years of relevant experience, or an applicable degree substitution.
• Experience developing and deploying solutions with AWS tools and services.
• Experience working in a small team using Agile methodologies.
• Experience with several of Git, Selenium, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, React, Tailwind, TypeScript, JavaScript, NestJS, Scala, Akka, FluxCD, Playwright, or Go.

• AWS certifications.
• Experience addressing accessibility concerns in applications.
