Location: Coon Rapids, Minnesota, United States; onsite clinical work with possible telemedicine, hospital rounding, and weekend or after-hours calls

Salary: $100,000–$180,000 annually

What you will do

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and families affected by cancer and related diagnoses.
  • Initiate and document interventions, prescribe therapies as indicated, and evaluate treatment responses.
  • Perform procedures after appropriate training and provide patient and family education.
  • Support prevention, screening, wellness promotion, case management, and community resource coordination.
  • Apply evidence-based research, complete charge capture and medical records, and follow OSHA and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in affiliated hospital rounding and weekend or after-hours calls when required.

Requirements

  • Complete an accredited Physician Assistant program or hold a Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • For Physician Assistants: current Minnesota state licensure and CPR certification are required.
  • For Nurse Practitioners: current Minnesota RN license and current Nurse Practitioner certification are required.
  • Have at least three years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Meet the physical demands of patient handling, extensive standing and walking, and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
  • Work in an oncology and hematology clinic environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations.
