Focus on training and performance management, assisting with exams and procedures, collecting specimens, administering injections, and maintaining oncology treatment-room protocols.

Location: Dallas Presbyterian, Dallas, Texas, United States. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; no weekends, call, or major holidays.

What you will do

  • Supervise the Medical Assistant department, treatment rooms, and exam areas while coordinating efficient patient flow.
  • Assign Medical Assistants to physicians, manage daily workflows, create staff schedules, and arrange coverage.
  • Onboard, train, and evaluate Medical Assistants while supporting the development of junior staff.
  • Collect patient information, obtain records, record vital signs, verify treatment consents, and support patient education.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms, assist with examinations and procedures, process laboratory specimens, and maintain disinfection protocols.
  • Perform clinical support duties including blood collection, subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, prescription calls, and patient communications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • At least seven years of Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant experience in a hospital or clinic.
  • At least two years of previous Lead or Supervisory experience.
  • Current CPR certification and Certified Medical Assistant credentials.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including extensive standing and walking and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.

  • Phlebotomy experience.
