Director, Human Capital

Location: New York, NY, United States

Annual base salary: $175,000–$200,000, plus variable compensation including a year-end bonus.

What you will do

• Advise senior leaders on strategic people and organizational matters.
• Lead complex employee relations and performance management matters.
• Support career development, talent planning, organizational change, and manager development.
• Improve Human Capital policies, practices, processes, and ways of working.
• Lead annual talent, performance, promotion, and succession planning.
• Monitor employment law developments and support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive Human Capital experience.
• Deep expertise in employee relations, performance management, talent management, and manager development.
• Strong judgment, discretion, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
• Ability to balance employee experience with business objectives and navigate ambiguity.
• Experience improving Human Capital processes and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and execution.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting professional services, financial services, infrastructure, energy, or similarly high-performing organizations.
