Water Treatment Engineering Lead

Location: Remote within Canada; listed locations are Vancouver, Toronto, Saskatoon, Whitehorse, and Calgary

Salary: CAD 130,000–170,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership across water treatment, mine water, remediation, and industrial infrastructure projects from feasibility through commissioning.
• Lead technology selection, water management trade-off studies, and multidisciplinary engineering design activities.
• Prepare, review, and approve engineering deliverables, calculations, specifications, and reports.
• Support equipment selection, procurement, vendor reviews, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP workshops, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
• Support project planning, proposals, budgeting, client engagement, and mentoring of junior and intermediate team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, or Process Engineering.
• Professional Engineering designation required.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in industrial water treatment projects, ideally in mining.
• Experience in environmental or project consulting.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary projects, collaborate effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office and business software.
