Structural Engineer

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio or Hammond, Indiana, USA. The role includes a hybrid work schedule, on-site/client-site work, and travel for customer site visits and field investigations.

What you will do

• Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, and other structural systems.
• Develop calculations, design criteria, details, drawings, specifications, technical reports, and engineering studies.
• Build and maintain structural analysis and design models using engineering software.
• Apply building codes, standards, and company design practices to project work.
• Coordinate designs with architects, engineers, contractors, project teams, and other disciplines.
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and evaluations of existing structures while supporting project delivery and quality control.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structures.
• At least 5 years of experience designing industrial, power generation, and commercial facilities and structures.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software; experience with the RISA suite is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, structural documentation, calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, and related building codes and standards.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred.
