Structural Engineering Professional

Location: Tempe, Arizona, US. Home office location must be based within the US Southwest Region: AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, or UT. Occasional travel may be required, approximately 10%.

Salary: $93,600.

What you will do

• Perform conventional structural engineering analysis and design under general supervision.
• Apply US building code provisions for lateral wind and seismic analysis and design.
• Coordinate with structural leads, engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural criteria into models and deliverables.
• Check personal work and peer calculations to support quality control.
• Own assigned structural scopes while meeting quality, schedule, and budget goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering, or a Master of Science in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Active Engineer in Training certification.
• At least 2 years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal capabilities.
• Home office location within the US Southwest Region: AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, or UT.
• Reliable high-speed internet service provided by the employee.

Nice to have

• Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis or in Structural Engineering.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Experience with semiconductor industrial facilities or heavy general industrial facilities.
