Design Technician II (Structural BIM/CAD)

Salary: $26.00–$35.00 hourly.

What you will do

• Develop detailed structural 2D and 3D CAD/BIM models, including framing plans, foundation plans, sections, details, and connection layouts, aligned with engineering calculations and specifications.
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination and integrate structural systems with architectural, MEP, and civil models while resolving clashes.
• Review structural drawings and models for accuracy, constructability, building-code compliance, and project standards.
• Collaborate with structural engineers to translate design criteria, load paths, and calculations into constructible documents.
• Generate and manage construction documents, including general notes, steel, rebar, and concrete schedules, and detailed sections.
• Support shop drawing reviews, RFIs, design revisions, BIM/CAD standards, advanced modeling, software troubleshooting, process improvements, and 3D visualization for constructability reviews and client presentations.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or certification in CAD, BIM, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–6 years of CAD/BIM design experience within building and infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience producing structural construction documents and coordinating with engineering teams.
