Structural Engineer (Construction Engineering)

Location: Phoenix, AZ, USA; full-time, onsite role.

What you will do

• Design temporary structures and construction systems, including shoring, bracing, and lifting plans.
• Support the analysis and design of structural steel connections, from simple shear connections to complex multi-member nodes with intricate load paths.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and models in a BIM environment.
• Collaborate with contractors and fabricators to develop practical, efficient solutions aligned with field conditions.
• Work on small and mid-sized assignments while developing skills in sequencing, stability, constructability, and erection engineering.
• Communicate with teammates and project partners and develop practical construction engineering expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and eagerness to learn and grow through feedback.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Familiarity with ETABS, SAP2000, Tekla, Revit, or AutoCAD.
