Senior Associate, Systems Engineer (Surveillance)

Location: Bengaluru, India; on-site

Company

Design and engineering of certified avionics systems supporting safety-critical flight operations across commercial and military aviation, including surveillance products such as TCAS, Mode S transponders, ADS-B, and integrated surveillance solutions.

What you will do

• Support Aircraft Specific Database (ASDB) development throughout the system lifecycle.
• Identify aircraft-level integration impacts involving equipage, wiring, and data interfaces.
• Define ASDB interface requirements, system behaviors, and interface data structures.
• Create and maintain system documentation, including SRS and SRD artifacts, requirements traceability, and change-management records.
• Develop and support test procedures, test cases, and validation scripts.
• Support system integration, issue resolution, and continuous improvement across systems, software, and integration teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting systems engineering activities such as requirements definition or system integration.
• Ability to develop structured SRS and SRD documentation.
• Understanding of interfaces, data structures, and system integration concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Experience adopting automation and AI tools to improve workflow efficiency, quality, and execution.

Nice to have

• Exposure to avionics or aircraft integration environments.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems such as TCAS, transponders, or ADS-B.
• Experience supporting system testing or validation activities.
• Awareness of ARP4754A or similar systems engineering processes.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
