Senior Computing Infrastructure Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: ITPL, Whitefield, Bangalore, India — 5 days onsite; travel up to 10% of the time. Relocation eligible.

What you will do

• Architect and develop end-to-end computing platforms spanning compute, storage, networking, security, operating systems, virtualization, and containers.
• Build Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks with Ansible, Bash, and Python for Linux provisioning, configuration, lifecycle management, and compliance validation.
• Optimize CPU, memory, storage, I/O, and network performance for demanding data-intensive workloads.
• Create architecture documentation, deployment procedures, operational guides, and repeatable infrastructure standards.
• Develop validation strategies, automated verification frameworks, release-readiness criteria, and infrastructure test plans.
• Provide Tier-4 escalation support, lead root-cause investigations, and harden platforms deployed in secure and air-gapped semiconductor fabrication environments.

Requirements

• Onsite work at ITPL, Whitefield, Bangalore, India, five days per week is required.
• 6–12 years of relevant experience and a BE, BTech, MTech, or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive Linux administration experience with Ubuntu and RHEL-based distributions, including networking, filesystems, permissions, SELinux, AppArmor, and firewalls.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox, plus enterprise storage technologies including SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS, RAID, and distributed storage.
• Hands-on enterprise networking experience across VLANs, trunking, link aggregation, Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting, and Wireshark analysis.
• Experience with Docker or Podman, Kubernetes administration, firewall management, and advanced Ansible, Bash, and/or Python automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with air-gapped or highly secure environments, semiconductor manufacturing, industrial automation, embedded systems, or hardware-integrated software platforms.
• Knowledge of on-premises CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, iperf, Active Directory integration, or Windows administration.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools in software and infrastructure development.
