Field Technician (Telecommunications)

Location: Sherman, Texas, United States; field work at residential and commercial properties

What you will do

• Install customer service drops and outlets in residential and business properties.
• Use electronic test equipment and online diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair reception and service issues.
• Verify upstream and downstream signal levels at customer premises.
• Relocate existing equipment and determine optimal signal routing.
• Recommend service upgrades and educate customers on new or existing equipment.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in the state of application and a good driving record.
• Ability to learn and use RF meters, digital meters, Volt-Ohm meters, and related diagnostic equipment.
• At least three months of customer service or related experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work in small and confined areas, lift up to 100 pounds, use ladders, and work in all weather conditions.
• Availability for overtime, on-call work, and regular predictable attendance.
