Production Technician I

Location: New Carlisle, Indiana, United States; onsite at the hirify.global Merchant Gas production facility. Work includes a 12-hour rotating schedule, AMG on-call coverage as required, and 0–10% travel for training.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain hirify.global Merchant Gas production facilities safely, reliably, and efficiently.
• Monitor production equipment and plant operations in collaboration with the Regional Operations Control Center.
• Identify maintenance needs and enter work orders in Maximo to support equipment reliability.
• Perform operator rounds, water sampling, truck loading, preventive maintenance, and control-board operations.
• Issue safe work permits, perform lockout/tagout, and support confined-space, hot-work, and energy-isolation activities.
• Maintain accurate operational records, documentation, housekeeping, and compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work extended hours, rotating shifts, and on-call coverage as business needs require.
• Ability to learn and follow standard operating and maintenance procedures, read blueprints, flow charts, P&IDs, and electrical schematics, and perform basic math.
• Interest in instrumentation and mechanical systems, with the ability to work safely and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Technical associate degree or 2+ years of technical training or operations experience.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, rotating equipment, piping systems, plant regulatory requirements, and equipment isolation methods.
• Microsoft Office skills and experience operating forklifts, man lifts, or overhead cranes.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
