Location: Walnut Creek, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $111,125–$158,750 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.

What you will do

• Manage complex water and wastewater construction contracts as an owner representative.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies and conflicts.
• Maintain daily records of contractor activities, labor, equipment, materials, and completed work.
• Review construction materials for contract compliance, track quantities, and develop pay estimates.
• Observe equipment and systems installation and acceptance testing; identify nonconforming work and maintain project punch lists.
• Develop record documentation, support project audits and closeout, and supervise junior representatives, inspectors, testing services, and subconsultants.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
• Understanding of construction contracts and familiarity with applicable construction codes and laws.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify document conflicts.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction software; strong verbal and written communication skills.
• US visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future for this position.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
• Construction experience with a consulting firm.
• Ability to interpret construction schedules and propose solutions to engineers.
