Senior Systems Administrator I (AI)

Location: Tampa, United States; duties are performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility. Only U.S. citizens are eligible, and the role requires overtime, on- and off-shift work, and 24x7 on-call support.

What you will do

• Administer, monitor, maintain, and support operating systems, hypervisors, applications, cloud platforms, storage, and enterprise services.
• Design and implement computer systems, network hardware, software applications, cloud environments, and peripherals with a focus on availability, redundancy, security, and disaster recovery.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, design resolutions, and provide Tier-3 escalation support.
• Support digital transformation initiatives involving AI, identity federation, hybrid cloud, and other emerging technologies.
• Create system configurations, standard operating procedures, runbooks, architecture diagrams, downtime reports, and preventative maintenance plans.
• Participate in IT project planning, change management, help desk incident management, cross-training, and 24x7 production on-call support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related curriculum and 5 years of networking and operating system experience, or an associate degree and 6+ years of networking and operating system design, testing, and maintenance experience, or equivalent related experience.
• Experience managing and implementing Windows and Linux VPS server technologies, including RHEL, CentOS, Alma Linux, Rocky, and Ubuntu; on-premises and cloud experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, DFS, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
• Experience managing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Office 365 and Azure, hypervisor technologies, virtual desktop technologies, database technologies, web servers, mail security gateways, identity and federation services, and platform monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related services, including DNS, ARP, VLANs, SMTP, DHCP, and load balancers.
• Self-motivation, teamwork, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, prioritization, and the ability to create, document, and follow processes and procedures.
• Eligibility for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.
• At least one of the following certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP), CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or CISSP.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to U.S. Government contract requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAN, NAS, virtual storage, and backup technologies such as Nimble, Veeam, vSAN, and DataDomain.
• Administration of Copilot licensing and Copilot Studio AI applications or bots.
• Administration of Microsoft Enterprise CA, Azure Local, Amazon Kubernetes Services, Azure Virtual Desktop, MFA platforms, and federation services.
• Experience managing enterprise backup solutions and data replication strategies.
• Microsoft PowerShell scripting for server and platform management.
• Microsoft Associate, VMware Certified Professional, or similar-level certifications.
