Senior Specialist, Systems Administrator

Location: Palm Bay, Florida, US. Onsite role with a 9/80 schedule: nine workdays every 14 days, totaling 80 hours, with every other Friday off.

What you will do

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows servers, client systems, backup systems, network infrastructure, and databases.
• Provide desktop and application support for local-site users and systems across the classified WAN.
• Build, configure, and maintain physical and virtual Windows servers for program requirements.
• Perform system updates, patching, hardening, vulnerability reduction, and compliance activities.
• Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline deployment and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and communicate technical issues, risks, and recommendations to management and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience; or a graduate degree and at least 4 years of related experience; or at least 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph.
• Ability to meet U.S. citizenship eligibility requirements for security clearance access.

Nice to have

• Six years of experience as a System/Network Administrator supporting an enterprise-level domain environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, networking protocols, PowerShell, and security best practices.
• Experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8/9, CentOS, and Ubuntu systems.
• Experience with Commvault or similar enterprise-level backup systems.
• Experience with VMware or similar virtualization platforms.
• Experience with Ansible.
• Experience managing systems in compliance with the NIST Risk Management Framework.
