Senior Associate, Systems Administrator (Carlsbad) (TS/SCI with FS Poly)

Location: Carlsbad, California, United States; onsite role. The position follows a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. A current active TS/SCI clearance with a full-scope polygraph is required.

Salary: $83,000–$118,000 per year.

What you will do

• Provide end-user desktop support for classified systems and applications locally and across the classified WAN.
• Perform system updates, patching, and hardening to reduce vulnerabilities and maintain compliance.
• Administer system and network environments supporting reliable day-to-day operations.
• Partner with program engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver IT solutions aligned with program needs and schedules.
• Communicate technical issues, risks, and recommendations to management and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of related experience; alternatively, a graduate degree or equivalent with 0–2 years of related experience, or at least 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, networking protocols, PowerShell, and security best practices.
• Current active TS/SCI clearance with a full-scope polygraph.
• Security clearance eligibility requirements must be met; security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience supporting Linux systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8/9, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
• Experience administering VMware or comparable virtualization platforms.
• Experience with Commvault or similar backup and recovery solutions.
