Clinic RN Senior (Oncology)

Location: McKinney, Texas, with work at the Frisco location a few days a week

Texas Oncology is a community oncology provider delivering evidence-based cancer care through clinics across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma.

What you will do

• Provide professional nursing care for oncology patients according to clinical standards and specialty regulations.
• Assess patients’ health status, medical history, and physical, psychological, and spiritual care needs.
• Educate patients and families and provide psychosocial support and community resource guidance.
• Coordinate consultations, diagnostic testing, referrals, procedures, and follow-up appointments.
• Triage patient calls, manage medication refill requests, and document clinical information in patient charts.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and serve as a resource to LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support certification and completion of continuing education requirements.
• For the senior level, at least five years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology strongly preferred.
• Oncology certification is preferred.
• Ability to handle and lift patients, stand and walk for extended periods, and occasionally lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
