Sr. Field Sourcing Specialist

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; office environment primarily with occasional plant work

Salary: $95,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead competitive bidding and sourcing activities for assigned business units or operating zones.
• Develop RFQs, coordinate bidder communications and job walks, evaluate technical and commercial proposals, and recommend suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms, author contracts, and execute materials and services agreements.
• Manage supplier, contractor, safety, insurance, indemnification, and compliance requirements.
• Plan and lead procurement activities for capital, maintenance, and plant turnaround projects.
• Track sourcing initiatives and savings, support asset sales, resolve supplier performance issues, and mentor field sourcing specialists.

Requirements

• College degree with two years of purchasing experience supporting operations or manufacturing, or two years of operations experience with strong commercial skills.
• At least five years of progressive experience in supply chain management organizations.
• Experience with contract and commercial-term negotiations, including hold-harmless terms and certificates of insurance.
• Understanding of equipment operation and maintenance in an assigned operating zone or business unit.
• Ability to work primarily in the Long Beach regional office and occasionally in plant environments.
